# MOTAP — Museum of the Troubles and Peace

> An independent, community-based initiative to establish a major museum in Belfast city centre for the Northern Ireland Troubles and the Irish Peace Process, accommodating multiple perspectives.

The Museum of the Troubles and Peace (MOTAP) is a civic project working toward a Belfast museum that gives voice to marginalised groups, reflects a diverse range of viewpoints, and highlights the distinctive features of the Irish peace process. Alongside the museum campaign, MOTAP curates a public digital archive of donated photography and oral history testimony.
